Fresh out of high school, I began a path in the education realm to become an elementary teacher. In that path, I realized that the career didn’t fit the vision I had, my personality, nor fit my lifestyle. During that shift, I discovered the “Hello World” example in HTML where you could type a line of code, and something appears out of thin air on the screen. I’ve been fascinated with the digital world since then. I took a diploma at NAIT for Web Design and Development, and that’s where I found my passion for designing digital products from websites to apps. I’m a curious person, and this field allows me to use it to the benefit of others by understanding what is needed and interviewing users with the prototype of a digital product. I enjoy building wireframes and making the product make sense while still being pleasant to look at.

I’ve realized that technology could be used as a gadget to amplify the voices of marginalized communities, like in the case of Sudan, Palestine, Congo, and Uyghurs, among other communities.
