As part of a class assignment, we had to make a mock landing page for a hypothetical client, a photography club. The target audience was anyone who was interested in joining the club. For that reason, there were requests from the client, including having many images, displaying their upcoming events, and so on.

Completed Design Style Guide
First, I made sure to understand the request of the clients and sketched how the items would come together. Afterwards, I did a low-fidelity wireframe and decided upon my color scheme. With feedback gathered from my colleagues and teacher, I browsed through other clubs’ websites for inspiration and upgraded my design accordingly. I modified certain sections to meet the client’s needs for more exposure and being welcoming for both beginners and advanced photographers.
I wasn’t certain how to implement some of the client’s requests. I wanted viewers to know straightaway what the website was about within the first few seconds. However, it was challenging to talk about the organization without boring the viewers. I opted for an overview of the organization and gave users the option to learn more about them through the About page. As a result, my final grade for the assignment was 83%.
Through this assignment, my organization, design skills, and attention to detail were strengthened.
